Myths Busted about Laser Removal
1/ It does not BURN the skin. Although some blistering may occur this is due to the reaction to the particles under the skin and will disperse through the body as a normal part of the healing process. The white effect on the skin as each last shot is made, is due to the moisture in the skin being dryer out, the body will replenish this moisture within minutes.
2/ The PAIN is a lot less that having the tattoo done in the first place. Although the level the 'snap' is felt is down to the individual and the area being layered out.
3/ The laser treatment does not cause SCARING. Scaring can happen when the area being treated blisters and the blisters burst. This could happen if after treatment the cool packs are not applied for the correct length of time, interval and aftercare instructions are not followed correctly. Full aftercare instructions are given to take away.
4/ Due to the process that disperses ink particles into the body's lymphatic system a maximum area of 4"x 4"of ink can be treated within any two week period. This is "IF' the tattoo is larger than the treated area, this allows the body time to process the particles out of your body. A second treatment sessions on the same area need to be 4 to 6 weeks after the first session to allow the skin and body to reject the ink particles and heal the treated area.
If all instruction given are followed you will see some reduction in ink from every session. However, no GUARANTEE is given for complete removal as some staining from the previous ink can remain. In addition, the material used or quality of ink may also be a factor which prevents total removal.
