Having both had Tattoo’s before we had become bored and uninspired with the designs and work that the majority of local tattooists were offering, and so when we found Tony’s website we were very excited about the original designs and quality of tattoos he does. From viewing his website we made an appointment to have a chat about what kinds of tattoo’s he could design for us, from the moment he opened the door he made us feel very welcome and relaxed. We felt that Tony listened to what we wanted and we wasn’t disappointed when he drew the designs on us and we then made appointments for the tattoo’s to be done. Our tattoo’s were done in the same relaxed environment as we have always felt with Tony and we are both very impressed with the quality and detail of our tattoo’s. I had been looking for someone to design me a cover-up for around eight years, but could never find the right person who could articulate what I wanted into a design. I wanted something Maori-influenced because of my interest in the culture, but didn’t want something that was culturally insensitive and also didn’t want a ‘macho’ tribal tattoo. I also find that some tattooists can also often be quite intimidating to approach. I couldn’t believe it, therefore, when I found Tony right on my doorstep in Nottingham. He has a deep knowledge and understanding of Kirituhi, listened carefully to what I wanted and designed me something which really creatively incorporated my existing tattoo. He was approachable, took time to get things right in the consultation and wasn’t at all pushy, giving me time to think the design through. During the tattooing itself he was thoroughly professional, and took time to make me comfortable and explain what he was doing. I’m really, really happy with the results – the attention to detail is stunning, and I am already planning what I might do next! I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Tony to anyone who wants an individual, beautifully designed and executed Kirituhi tattoo.

Right up to the day I was worried about not liking the design but once I got there and Tony sketched a design on me my worries disappeared. Tony took all the parts I liked from the pictures i'd shown him and came up with something new.
If you want a Kirituhi tattoo, Tony's your man. He's completely obsessed with them and enjoys doing them which really helps and shows in his work. This might upset people who went before me but my tattoo is exactly what i wanted and Tony said it was probably his best work to date, he also said he tries to improve everytime so anybody who decides go to tony from now on should be expecting something special. Just make sure you have a clear idea of what you want for Tony to work from.

My initial consultation was free and relaxed and Tony helped me to finalise the design on paper and gave me plenty of time to think it over and be happy before the gun hit the skin so to speak. Personally I knew what I was after but was not prepared to walk into some tattoo parlour and be pushed into picking some design out of a catalogue. Tony’s designs were in tune with what I wanted and four weeks down the line I’m over the moon. The best advice I can offer is to spend time researching some designs so Tony has something to work with and go from there. If you want to get tattooed then I highly recommend Tony of kirituhi Tattoo!!

I had a tribal design done some time ago and it clearly wsn't right, out of shape and embarrasing. Tony took the design and worked his magic, going much bigger that I'd initially wanted but making so much more sense of what I wanted to portray. I am proud to wear Tony's artwork and would recommend him to anyone.

I was introduced to Tony by the brother i never had......so had all faith in what i had herd about his work . Being 37and living 137 miles from him and having plenty of "BUBBLE GUM "tattoo,s and wanting to cover 99.9% of them i did not have clue what to have and where to go.Tony got is sticks of magic and started to draw.......after a couple of hours he was mapped out for a full design for back,chest and yes.. . . . . . . . . my coller bone ..lol the man is a legend and would recomend him to people who dont want the same as every other person walking down the street...he is an artist ,and in my mind deserves the up most respect for his work...................... a loyal and thankfull.

After the first designed wasn’t exactly what I was looking for (still a great design!) you didn’t even just change the design you made a completely new one. That really impressed me!
The new one just seems to be perfect, I love it. It’s exactly the sort of thing I was after and I am sure it will look awesome. You are certainly the first one who will get a picture of the finished tattoo! In the end I can only say it was a pleasure to having the design made you. I gotta say, I'm a pretty damn picky person, and I wasn't expecting to like the first draft of the tattoo all that much. I figured I'd have to drive you nuts with little details that I'd want changed but honestly, I absolutely love the design lol Im blown away by it! I can't say there is anything I'd liek to change. I'm gunna go with the original instead of the mirrored image, I like the way it flows. I would be quite happy to have this as the final outline. Also, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions, I hope that one day I'll be able to travel as much as you have and be as passionate about what I do as you are.

The KIRITUHI Tattoo by Tony on my lower right leg is everything that I could have wished for. The artwork, detail and actual tattooing process were nothing short of exemplary. The service provided of design and consultation second to none. Always considering my needs and having the expert knowledge, not just to apply to paper but also fit my body shape.
